About the Role
Ookla is looking for a highly organized and commercially savvy Order Operations Manager to oversee daily order operations for all product lines through both direct and indirect sales channels. This role acts as a crucial liaison connecting Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to establish efficient, scalable processes that speed up the order-to-revenue cycle, uphold high-quality CRM data, and manage customer onboarding and Request for Proposal (RFP) workflows. The ideal candidate is well-versed in revenue recognition principles and contracting details, and serves as a strategic partner to enhance revenue optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end order processing for all Ookla products across direct sales and indirect partner/reseller channels.
- Continuously design and improve operational workflows to accelerate the path from deal closure to revenue recognition.
- Collaborate closely with Sales to ensure accountability for CRM data accuracy, contracting standards, and process adherence.
- Lead vendor intake, customer onboarding, and the administration of security and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate RFP operational requirements, facilitating prompt and precise business data submission.
- Act as the subject matter expert on how contract structures influence revenue, partnering with Legal and Finance to ensure alignment with revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606) and legal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales Operations, Order Management, Deal Desk, or Revenue Operations, preferably within SaaS or technology sectors.
- Advanced knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce and Quote-to-Cash or ERP software.
- Strong understanding of contracting processes and revenue recognition frameworks.
- Proven ability to build and scale operational workflows from initial stages.
- Effective and assertive collaborator capable of fostering strong partnerships with Sales leadership while maintaining compliance to data and process norms.
- Exceptional organizational skills enabling management of complex workflows involving RFPs, onboarding, and vendor documentation, without sacrificing efficiency.
