Position Overview

This role is based primarily at 35 Dunne Street, Dublin, with operations covering multiple collection and delivery points across Dublin city. The position requires working 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with a possibility of increasing to 35 hours during busier times such as pre-Christmas periods. The contract duration is 12 months.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate vans to conduct collections and deliveries, including loading and unloading, picking up stock from donors and sponsors, and timely distribution to services.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize pickups and drop-offs.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, manage stock electronically, and uphold health and safety standards consistently.
• Communicate professionally with donors and sponsors to ensure supply meets demand while seeking new donation sources.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, insured, and ready for operation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with staff and volunteers, communicating stock or storage changes professionally.
• Adapt delivery schedules during peak periods and provide leadership during change processes.
• Adhere strictly to Crosscare policies and procedures, especially regarding health and safety.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, log findings, and promptly report issues.
• Manage communication with the service manager regarding shift changes, stock management, and schedule adjustments.
• Attend all required training sessions as directed.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager.

Candidate Profile

• Proven ability to manage time effectively, organize tasks, and communicate clearly.
• Objective approach to problem-solving, adopting a factual and non-judgmental viewpoint.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 24 months of driving experience with a full clean driving license.
• Proficiency with email and applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel (including databases).
• Practical experience in logistics operations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range of €24,000 to €29,000 annually pro rata based on 30 hours per week (Full 37.5 hours salary is €32,858-€36,518).
