About the Role

We seek Mechanical Engineers passionate about water infrastructure to join our New Zealand Pacific Water team where you can draw on extensive global experience to deliver impactful water solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis and develop innovative solutions for complex water infrastructure challenges tailored to client needs.
- Apply strong hydraulic knowledge to design advanced mechanical water systems that integrate seamlessly with multidisciplinary projects including water, wastewater, stormwater treatment plants, and pump stations.
- Ensure all designs align with New Zealand Codes and Standards, maintaining compliance and quality while keeping up with industry advancements.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members through clear verbal and written presentations to facilitate project success.
- Lead or participate in modeling and CAD tasks using Inventor, AutoCAD, or other relevant software to produce precise mechanical water system designs.
- Think laterally and pragmatically to devise creative, practical project solutions overcoming technical challenges.
- Identify technical risks associated with projects and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to enhance project sustainability and success.
- Collaborate actively within a team environment fostering idea exchange and meaningful contributions.
- Maintain strong client relationships, understanding and aligning solutions with their objectives.
Work Location and Employment Model
This opportunity spans various locations throughout New Zealand, including Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Tauranga, and Wellington.
Our workplace culture supports a hybrid model where employees collaborate in-office three days per week and enjoy flexibility during the remainder.
