About Hato Hone St John

Role Overview
The Major Incident Support Team (MIST) is vital in supporting Ambulance Operations and Event Health Services during major incidents and large events. This non-clinical team aids in delivering exceptional emergency responses during times of high demand, including major sports events, concerts, festivals, natural disasters, and other large-scale incidents.
Team members may be involved in one or more of four key areas: Administration, Communications, Welfare, and Logistics, although not all roles may be required at every event.
Candidate Profile
- You must hold a current and clean full New Zealand Driver's Licence, capable of confidently operating both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Possession of a valid First Aid certificate is required.
- Effective communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
- Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to perform well under pressure are important personal qualities.
- Good physical fitness is necessary due to the nature of the role.
- Candidates must be 18 years or older.
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status is mandatory.
