What the role involves
As a Kitchen Porter, you will help keep the kitchen and dining spaces clean, organised, and ready for smooth service. Your work will support memorable guest experiences by ensuring the back-of-house runs efficiently and safely.
Key duties
- Wash and keep all crockery, cutlery, cookware, pots, pans, and silverware in excellent condition.
- Help maintain proper stock levels and keep kitchen equipment and supplies neatly arranged.
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and removing waste.
- Prepare clean service items and assist with setup for banquets and functions.
- Use hazardous cleaning products safely and follow hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
- Escalate any safety risks or equipment faults to the supervisor on duty without delay.
- Help onboard and guide new colleagues by sharing practical know-how and supporting team performance.
