Role overview
News Corp Australia is looking for a casual team member to support operations at its Adelaide Print Centre. The role centres on running machinery and completing manual production tasks, particularly placing magazines into newspapers and preparing papers for dispatch.
Key duties
- Operate machinery safely and consistently.
- Complete manual production tasks as required.
- Package newspapers promptly and within the required time limits.
- Insert magazines into newspapers as part of the production process.
- Work night shifts and remain flexible across the roster.
- Handle job-rotation tasks and contribute to a smooth workflow.
Working pattern
Shifts are usually 3 to 4 hours long, although they may range from 3 to 7 hours. Night work is required, and the roster operates across 7 days. Extra shifts may also need to be covered at short notice.
What you bring
The ideal candidate communicates well, works collaboratively, and follows safety standards carefully. Manual handling ability is essential, along with the capacity to stay effective in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting. Prior exposure to factory or manufacturing work, process work, or pick/packing would be an advantage. A LF forklift licence is also considered a plus.
