Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us immediately as General Laboratory Operators. This position is scheduled for the evening shift and involves lab operations ensuring quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear for assigned tasks.
- Alert supervisors promptly about any hazardous conditions, irregularities, or improvement opportunities.
- Complete assignments as directed by the Laboratory Manager or designated supervisors and report task completion.
- Execute tasks following detailed written methods or supervisor instructions when documentation is unavailable.
- Maintain precise sample organization and identification, reporting discrepancies as they arise.
- Protect sample identity and integrity from loss, contamination, or misplacement, reporting incidents immediately.
- Monitor work quality, noting any anomalies such as reactive samples or procedural issues, and inform supervisors accordingly.
- Accurately complete all necessary forms and records, signing or initialing documentation as required.
- Operate laboratory equipment in line with instruction manuals and safety guidelines, checking calibration status daily where applicable.
- Report equipment malfunctions and avoid use of defective apparatus; perform routine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of equipment and workspace.
- Propose potential method or operational enhancements to management for consideration.
- Comply fully with ISO 17025, INAB, and internal quality management documentation requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided, though previous laboratory exposure is advantageous. Candidates should have completed full or partial secondary education capable of understanding verbal and written directions.
