About the role
HTC Global Services is hiring an experienced QA Associate to work on full-stack quality assurance across functional testing, API validation, UI automation, and supporting data and performance checks. This position is suited to someone with 5 to 10 years of experience who can independently strengthen the reliability, stability, and maintainability of applications, systems, and databases.
The role requires strong practical experience in Java, along with hands-on work in Playwright and Rest Assured. Familiarity with the asset management domain is mandatory.
Core responsibilities
- Build and apply test strategies for automation, regression, and smoke testing.
- Lead and coordinate testing activities end to end, including scoping, estimation, planning, task allocation, test design, execution, defect handling, progress updates, and closure.
- Manage test teams and ensure testing activities follow the required processes and procedures.
- Prepare automation test plans and set up, deploy, and maintain test frameworks.
- Identify project risks during planning and execution, then communicate them clearly to relevant teams.
- Work closely with project teams, test teams, and support partners across the US and India.
- Ensure test data and test environments are available on time for execution.
- Define QA metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA function.
- Provide UAT support and handle management reporting and status tracking.
- Be available for shift-based work and weekend QA support when required by the project.
Technical and functional expectations
- Experience in functional and automation testing for web applications and microservices.
- Strong hands-on background in manual testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect management.
- Ability to create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases from business requirements.
- Capability to design comprehensive test approaches for both manual and automated testing.
- Practical experience with UI automation using Playwright and BDD frameworks.
- Exposure to building automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Experience with API automation using Rest Assured and Java.
- Working knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
- Experience in ETL testing and data validation.
- Experience in performance testing for applications, microservices, and APIs.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
Eligibility
This opportunity is open to candidates with a B.Tech / B.E. in Information Technology and relevant QA experience of 5 to 10 years.
