Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service to all guests, building authentic rapport through personalized interactions.
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso and specialty coffee drinks maintaining a consistent luxury five-star quality.
- Possess detailed knowledge of coffee types, roasting profiles, brewing techniques, and menu items to assist guests confidently in their choices.
- Proactively engage with guests using high emotional intelligence to create memorable experiences.
- Accurately take orders, maximize sales opportunities, and ensure clear communication to the kitchen and cashier via point-of-sale systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all service areas and ensure food service standards are upheld.
- Deliver room service orders promptly and ensure trays are properly arranged and cleared efficiently.
- Support team culture by collaborating with colleagues across the Food & Beverage department and contribute to sustainability efforts by championing responsible sourcing and waste reduction.
- Respond professionally to guest feedback and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Occasionally assist other hotel departments as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Genuine passion for delivering excellent guest service with warmth and care.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility for their role and work environment.
- Works well within a team setting and thrives in a dynamic, performance-driven atmosphere.
- Embraces the Accor Heartist® spirit by showing heart, craftsmanship, and genuine care in every interaction.
- Knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails is a strong plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, public holidays, and a rotating 7-day roster.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 12 months of experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Barista skills or specialty coffee training are highly valued.
- Excellent communication abilities and a polished, professional demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail with consistent presentation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- This position requires current New Zealand work rights or eligibility for an appropriate visa.
