Role Summary

As a Mechanical Engineer I, you will engage in product development from initial concepts through manufacturing stages. Collaborating across multiple teams, you will develop and improve mechanical designs employing industry-leading software and methodologies, all while adhering to quality and production standards. The position encourages professional advancement and the chance to make a significant impact through scientific equipment development.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Utilize 3D CAD tools, especially SolidWorks, to perform modeling and drafting tasks.
• Apply solid knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals such as mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
• Develop drawings following ASME Y14 standards and incorporate GD&T principles.
• Understand and integrate manufacturing techniques like plastic injection molding, sheet metal work, casting, and welding into design processes.
• Navigate PLM/PDM systems and manage engineering changes efficiently.
• Conduct design analyses including tolerance stack-ups and ensure manufacturability.
• Comprehend product development lifecycles and validation methodologies.
• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively in team environments.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and comply with pertinent industry standards.
• Maintain a willingness to acquire new skills and adapt to evolving technologies and processes.

Educational and Experience Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a closely related discipline is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have 0 to 2 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
