Role Summary

We are looking for an Employee Relations Coordinator (ERC) to be based in Ulundurpettai. This role falls under Grade 3 to 5 and will be part of the Employee Relations / Human Resources department. Preference is given to female candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee employee relations and enhance internal communication to reduce labor-management conflicts and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
  • Address employee grievances and inquiries, analyze grievances monthly, and compile reports with recommendations and action strategies.
  • Perform monthly ERC Back-to-Basics audits focused on daily risk monitoring and annual social compliance checks, ensuring follow-up on corrective actions within the factory.
  • Organize and administer employee engagement initiatives, welfare schemes, and community involvement programs.
  • Design and deliver training sessions for current and new employees covering topics such as the Pou Chen Group Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook, disciplinary regulations, grievance procedures, and other compliance-related subjects.
  • Assess training outcomes and maintain detailed records.
  • Develop and sustain constructive relationships with labor unions and implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to promote labor-management harmony.
  • Establish communication links with local government bodies, non-governmental organizations, and civil society groups.
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing plants to ensure adherence to local legislation, company headquarters policies, and client brand standards.
  • Conduct unplanned audits of working hours and attendance in collaboration with HR and Employee Relations teams.
  • Carry out employee satisfaction surveys, interpret results, and suggest enhancements.
  • Manage outsourced kindergarten operations effectively, ensuring compliance and smooth functioning.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Industrial Relations, or related disciplines.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in employee relations, industrial relations, social compliance, or CSR roles.
