Role overview
Domino’s is expanding its team and is looking for delivery experts to join the Jackson, TN store. The role offers immediate hiring, flexible scheduling, and the choice of short or long shifts. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available so you can choose hours that suit your routine.
Pay and schedule
Drivers commonly earn more than $20 per hour when wage, tips, and mileage reimbursement are combined. Mileage reimbursement and tips are paid daily, while hourly pay is issued every other Friday. You may use your own car and receive adjustable mileage reimbursement to help cover fuel and other vehicle-related costs, or you may use a company-provided vehicle if you are at least 21 years old, have at least 2 years of driving history, and have a clean driving record.
The job requires safe driving at all times. Domino’s also provides technology designed to help make deliveries faster and safer, which can improve delivery efficiency and earning potential.
Responsibilities
Delivery experts are expected to bring Domino’s products safely and efficiently to customers within the assigned delivery zone. The role may involve several deliveries per shift, navigating to addresses, handling maps or route directions, and working in different weather and terrain conditions.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and have a safe driving record that can be reviewed through a Motor Vehicle Report. A background check must also be passed. Candidates need a dependable vehicle, valid insurance, and strong navigation skills.
Drivers should be able to read and follow maps, find addresses in the delivery area, and handle difficult delivery environments such as multi-story buildings and stair-heavy routes. The role also calls for the ability to follow instructions, repeat tasks, work independently and as part of a team, handle pressure, maintain quality standards, support customers well, and make sound decisions.
Work conditions
This position can involve exposure to changing and sometimes harsh weather while delivering products or distributing flyers and door hangers. Store temperatures may vary widely, from about 36 degrees in cooler areas to 90 degrees or more in some work zones. Additional exposure can include food odors and cornmeal dust, cramped work spaces such as walk-in coolers, hot surfaces and tools including ovens reaching 500 degrees or higher, and sharp edges or moving mechanical parts.
Physical demands
The job includes walking, carrying, climbing, driving, stooping, bending, reaching, and hand-intensive tasks. Team members move between the store and vehicle, carry pizzas and drinks to customers, may climb 5 or more flights of stairs, and use safe driving practices throughout the shift. Repetitive bending, reaching in multiple directions, handling pizza-making tools, and working with boxes and ingredients are also part of the role. Hearing, speaking, near and mid-range vision, far and night vision, and depth perception are important for store and driving tasks.
Growth and culture
Domino’s highlights a culture centered on opportunity, diversity, and advancement. Delivery drivers can pursue future roles such as Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, and General Manager. The company also emphasizes that many franchise owners began their careers as delivery drivers or pizza makers.
