Overview
Domino’s is hiring delivery experts for its Clarksdale, MS store and is looking for people who can help keep deliveries fast, safe, and reliable. The team emphasizes a people-first culture, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for both short and long shifts. Immediate hiring is available.
Drivers commonly earn more than $20 per hour when wages, tips, and mileage reimbursement are combined. Mileage reimbursement and tips are paid daily, while hourly pay is issued every other Friday.
Schedule and Work Options
This role offers adaptable scheduling, with both part-time and full-time hours available. Drivers can choose shifts that fit their availability.
Candidates may use their own vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement to help cover fuel and vehicle-related costs, or they may use a company-provided vehicle. To use a company vehicle, the driver must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record, and have at least 2 years of driving history.
Responsibilities
Drivers are expected to complete deliveries within the assigned area, use safe driving practices, and provide efficient service to customers. The position may involve several deliveries per shift and may also include tasks such as distributing flyers and door hangers.
Job Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, pass a background check, and hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving history reviewed through a motor vehicle report. A dependable vehicle and valid insurance are required.
Strong map-reading and navigation ability is important, along with the ability to find addresses in the delivery zone and handle difficult terrain, including multi-story buildings and multiple flights of stairs.
The role also calls for the ability to work independently and with others, manage stress, follow instructions, repeat tasks accurately, maintain quality standards, deliver strong customer service, and make sound judgments using information and data.
Working Conditions
Drivers may work in changing weather conditions while making deliveries or distributing marketing materials. In-store conditions can vary widely, ranging from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees or more in certain work areas.
The environment may include food odors, cornmeal dust, compact workspaces, hot surfaces such as ovens reaching 500 degrees or higher, and exposure to sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Requirements
This job includes frequent walking, carrying, climbing, driving, stooping, bending, reaching, and hand use. Team members must move between the store, the delivery vehicle, and customer locations while carrying pizzas and beverages.
Bending at the waist is needed at the pizza assembly station and when stocking or cleaning low areas. Reaching tasks happen throughout the shift, including above shoulder height, to use oven controls, handle supplies, and answer phones.
The work also requires eye-hand coordination, gripping and handling tools such as pizza peels, cutters, cans, and boxes, and frequent use of forearms and wrists. Vision and hearing abilities are needed for in-store work and driving, including near, mid-range, far, and night vision.
Growth and Culture
Domino’s highlights promotional opportunities for delivery experts, including advancement into Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, General Manager, and more. The company also states that many franchise owners began their careers as delivery drivers or pizza makers.
The brand says it values diversity, inclusion, and the contributions of all team members, and aims to provide a stable and safe workplace.
