Overview

We are looking for a seasoned CORTEX Operations Specialist to oversee and manage the operational aspects of CORTEX applications in a banking setting. This position demands ensuring system uptime, stability, effective incident handling, and close collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of CORTEX applications within the banking environment
  • Continuously monitor CORTEX applications, related services, interfaces, and batch processing jobs
  • Investigate production incidents and conduct root cause analyses
  • Address application alerts, errors, and operational challenges within set service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Liaise with infrastructure, database, middleware, network, and application teams for smooth functioning
  • Assist in deployment, release management, patching, and production change activities
  • Conduct regular system health checks to maintain high availability and performance
  • Manage incidents, problems, and change requests via IT service management tools
  • Generate operational reports, analyze incidents, and maintain technical documentation
  • Ensure adherence to banking security standards, operational controls, and audit policies
  • Participate in on-call rotations and production support as needed

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in CORTEX operations, application support, or production support roles
  • In-depth hands-on expertise with CORTEX systems and applications
  • Prior experience in banking or financial service environments
  • Strong grasp of production operations including incident management and troubleshooting
  • Proficient with Linux/Unix environments, SQL, databases, and application monitoring solutions
  • Understanding of batch processing workflows, system interfaces, APIs, and application integrations
  • Knowledgeable in ITIL frameworks, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
  • Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
