Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and analytically driven Compensation Lead responsible for managing all aspects of our compensation systems. This role oversees the setup and maintenance of platforms such as Radford for survey reporting and Pave for cycle management, ensuring alignment with Affirm’s policies and employee needs. The position plays a pivotal role in day-to-day compensation operations and maintaining the competitiveness and effectiveness of our compensation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer all phases of the semiannual compensation processes end-to-end.
- Lead and engage in comprehensive annual compensation studies to assess Affirm’s market competitiveness, including thorough audits of job roles, responsibilities, and requirements.
- Oversee benchmarking survey coordination, submission, and review processes.
- Analyze and make recommendations on updates to cash and equity compensation structures and ranges.
- Execute special projects involving ad hoc compensation analyses, such as incentive pay, equity programs, and pay equity reviews.
- Manage pay reporting across multiple geographic regions supported by Affirm.
- Support compensation training initiatives and communication efforts.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in compensation or people analytics.
- Proficiency with compensation management systems, with a strong preference for experience using Pave.
- Demonstrated passion for data and an analytical approach to transform raw information into actionable insights using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, and Claude Code.
- Exceptional attention to detail and responsibility, with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Collaborative team player with effective communication skills across departments to meet deadlines.
- Exhibits sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to manage sensitive, confidential data maturely.
- Proven aptitude for handling diverse analytical challenges by evaluating multiple data factors.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts for employees and senior leadership.
- High organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ability to maintain compliance across compensation plans.
Compensation Details
The position is categorized at Pay Grade K and Equity Grade 4. New hires typically begin at the base level of the posted pay range, which varies based on location, experience, and relevant skills. The total compensation package may include base salary, equity incentives, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology expenses, alongside extensive benefits such as fully covered medical, dental, and vision plans for employees and their dependents.
Canadian base salary range: $112,000 to $172,000 annually.
Additional Information
Visa sponsorship is not provided for this role. Affirm operates as a remote-first company, enabling team members to work primarily from any location within their country of employment. While some remote flexibility exists, certain roles may require occasional presence in local Affirm offices based on job responsibilities.
