Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and analytically driven Compensation Lead to oversee the comprehensive management of our compensation systems. This position involves ensuring tools like Radford for survey reporting and Pave for compensation cycle management are optimally configured to align with Affirm’s policies and support all employees. You will play a pivotal role in daily compensation operations, ensuring programs remain effective and competitively aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer the complete semiannual compensation processes end-to-end.
- Lead and contribute to all aspects of annual compensation studies, including auditing job roles and responsibilities, managing benchmarking survey submissions and reviews, and recommending enhancements to cash and equity compensation structures and ranges.
- Execute specialized projects involving ad hoc compensation analyses such as incentive compensation, equity programs, and pay equity studies.
- Manage compensation reporting for various regions Affirm operates in.
- Provide assistance with compensation-focused training and internal communications.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compensation management or people analytics.
- Proficiency with compensation management platforms, preferably Pave.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights, using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, or Claude Code.
- Excellent attention to detail paired with responsible and autonomous work capabilities as well as collaboration skills.
- Team-oriented approach with effective cross-functional communication to ensure deadlines are met.
- Displays sound judgment, integrity, and manages sensitive and confidential information maturely.
- Ability to solve diverse problems through data evaluation.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills capable of explaining complex information to employees and senior leadership.
- Highly organized to handle multiple evolving priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
- Knowledgeable about regulatory compliance related to compensation plans and capable of maintaining adherence.
Compensation Details
This role is classified under Pay Grade K and Equity Grade 4. Typically, new hires begin at the lower end of the pay range. Affirm promotes a transparent and straightforward pay structure considering job location, skills, and experience.
The base salary range for this position in Canada is $112,000 to $172,000 annually. The total compensation package includes base pay, equity awards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology, plus benefits covering 100% medical insurance for employees and dependents, dental, and vision care.
Additional Information
Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. Affirm embraces a remote-first work culture, allowing most employees to work from almost anywhere within their country of employment. Certain proximal roles may require occasional onsite presence. A minority of jobs necessitate office-based work due to specific job functions.
