Client Engagement and Activation Lead

About the Role

At NZME, we forge meaningful connections between brands, audiences, and clients by delivering impactful events and experiences. We are seeking a creative and highly organized Client Engagement & Activation Lead to spearhead our B2B engagement program. This role is focused on designing and executing premium events and activations that highlight NZME's diverse brands while building deeper customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Foster collaborative relationships across sales, content, editorial, and marketing departments to create remarkable client experiences.
• Drive client engagement initiatives that enhance partnerships and support commercial growth.
• Bring to life key customer meetings and engagement opportunities, from concept to completion.
• Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to implement leading client engagement programs.
• Manage activations, partner initiatives, and communications that effectively represent NZME’s brand portfolio.
• Oversee event logistics, including guest communications, RSVP management, and supplier coordination.
• Develop proposals, briefing materials, and client-facing documents ensuring they are accurate and impactful.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in media, marketing, event management, partnerships, publishing, or related agency roles.
• Proven project management and strong organizational expertise.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and clear communication.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proactive, collaborative, and solution-driven mindset.
• Familiarity with the New Zealand media environment and understanding of client marketing demands.
• Enthusiasm for innovation and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
