Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable updates and reconciliations.
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the appropriate books of accounts.
- Conduct reconciliations of cash, bank, and Mpesa accounts regularly.
- Compile and submit monthly financial reports such as cash flow and profit & loss statements according to established deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Production Department in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and costing analyses.
- Perform periodic reconciliations of inventory, finished goods, and raw materials within agreed timelines.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all accounting transactions and organize filing systematically.
- Ensure customer account statements are prepared and dispatched by the 5th of each month.
- Work alongside the Sales Manager to monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to secure prompt payments.
- Address accounting inquiries from both customers and management promptly.
- Prepare Delivery Note reports and liaise with relevant parties for issue resolution.
- Identify and suggest improvements to existing accounting procedures and processes.
- Provide weekly reports to Finance Manager, Operations Manager, and General Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- Mandatory proficiency in Tally ERP software.
- CPA Part II qualification is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance support roles.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compensation
The monthly gross salary is Ksh 28,000.
