Trainee Technician - Malaysia

Programme Overview

Successful candidates will participate in a comprehensive 13-month training schedule combining classroom learning and hands-on experience, tailored based on individual academic backgrounds. This training aims to prepare participants to qualify as Aircraft Technicians, responsible for maintenance, servicing, and overhaul of aircraft.

Training Phases

• Phase 1 (First 6 months): Theoretical instruction covering selected aircraft-related subjects at a designated college in Malaysia.
• Phase 2 (From month 7 onwards): Practical on-the-job training hosted at the SIA Engineering Company's Base Maintenance or Line Maintenance divisions.

Employment Commitment

• Trainees must commit to serving a 2.5-year employment bond with the company upon successful completion of training.
• Failure to complete the training successfully or satisfy the minimum employment duration requires reimbursement of training expenses, potentially up to SGD 35,000 as liquidated damages.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold an Engineering Diploma or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Proficient in English with strong communication capabilities.
• Prepared to relocate to Singapore for employment.
• Demonstrates a keen interest in technical roles within the aviation sector.
• Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to distinguish colors is essential for job functions.
