About the Role
We are seeking a Supply Chain Administrator & Expeditor to join a reputable company operating in Dubai's Oil & Gas sector. This contract position involves overseeing supply chain operations with a focus on engineering workshops, manufacturing, fabrication, and EPC environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain constant communication with suppliers to obtain order acknowledgements, status updates, and delivery schedules.
- Track and expedite purchase orders, focusing on delayed or overdue deliveries.
- Identify and escalate risks related to supply delays, shortages, or other disruptions.
- Update and manage delivery schedules within the ERP system efficiently.
- Generate detailed reports analyzing supplier performance, overdue orders, key performance indicators (KPIs), and potential supply risks.
- Monitor KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) rates and adherence to lead times.
- Assist in supplier scorecard preparation and conduct performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with departments including Supply Chain, Workshop/Production, and Quality Assurance to resolve supplier issues promptly.
- Manage and update the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and maintain all supplier related documentation.
- Support activities related to supplier onboarding, conducting audits, compliance verifications, and driving continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
- Perform general procurement tasks including requisition handling and purchase order processing throughout the supply chain lifecycle.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working within an engineering workshop, manufacturing, fabrication, Oil & Gas service, or EPC environment is essential, with workshop exposure mandatory.
- Demonstrated background in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or expediting roles.
- Strong administrative capabilities combined with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, energy, Oil & Gas, EPC, or project-based industries.
- Knowledge of international logistics principles and Incoterms is advantageous.
- Understanding of procurement and supply chain management concepts.
- Professional qualification such as CIPS is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
