Job description

Job Overview

This role involves picking, staging, and securely delivering automotive parts to professional customers while managing returns and promoting sales programs.

Position Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage, and deliver parts safely to professional customers
  • Collect returns and automotive cores
  • Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers, promoting current deals and loyalty incentives
  • Collect payments from credit accounts daily
  • Build and sustain relationships with both local and national professional customers, sharing customer insights with store personnel
  • Support upselling and cross-selling efforts to enhance transaction values
  • Maintain cleanliness of store areas including floors, bathrooms, displays, and parking lots
  • Assist with stock management tasks such as truck stocking, back stock handling, and inventory cycle counts
  • Stay informed about current product inventory and new arrivals to aid sales support
  • Engage and assist walk-in customers by identifying needs and recommending suitable parts or services
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

  • Basic math proficiency including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with different units
  • Willingness to work varying schedules including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Confidence in customer engagement and product promotion
  • Openness to learning new product knowledge and sales techniques

Preferred Experience

Experience in automotive parts is desirable.

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.

Physical Demands

The job requires frequent walking and standing, effective communication abilities, and physical capability to handle, lift, and move items up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with help. Vision abilities must include close, distance, color perception, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Work primarily occurs indoors but may sometimes require outdoor tasks under various weather conditions. Exposure to mechanical parts, elevated surfaces, chemicals, electrical risks, explosives, and vibrations may occur. Noise levels are generally moderate.

Compensation

The hourly pay ranges between 17.60 CAD and 18.85 CAD depending on factors such as location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership experience, and shift differentials.
