About the Commercial Department
The Commercial department plays a vital role in upholding the financial health and contractual success of projects. Their responsibilities encompass cost control, procurement, valuation, contract management, and project scheduling. Collaborating closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and clients, the team monitors budgets, manages risks, and strives to optimize value throughout the lifecycle of projects. Their efforts ensure projects meet deadlines, adhere to budgets, and comply with contracts, ultimately preserving client satisfaction and company profitability.
Role Summary
In response to organizational growth, Alternative Heat Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Planner to take charge of developing, managing, and validating integrated project schedules for the data center business segment. This position guarantees precise, contract-aligned, and performance-focused schedules that offer transparent insight into project progress, associated risks, and results to facilitate successful project execution. Serving as the primary planning contact, the incumbent will collaborate with commercial, operations, and client teams to promote exceptional project planning, reporting, and program governance across several initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning activities and oversee scheduling for multiple projects, establishing uniform planning procedures, standards, and deliverables.
- Create, maintain, and oversee integrated schedules covering all project stages, ensuring consistency with project scope, contract commitments, and client requirements.
- Analyze program performance by examining critical path activities, detecting risks and delays, and devising mitigation and recovery strategies to meet delivery goals.
- Generate detailed schedule reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for senior leadership review.
- Assist with change management and delay adjudication processes.
- Collaborate closely with teams in estimating, commercial, operations, site management, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to coordinate sequencing, communicate schedule status, and integrate planning data with cost, risk, and performance tracking.
Additional Information
Location: Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Reporting To: Planning Lead
Salary: Competitive; commensurate with experience
