Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Overview

Ferretti Search is looking to hire a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who will lead data visualization and analytics initiatives supporting an advanced loan servicing platform. This role involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders including business users, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to convert intricate datasets into valuable insights that enhance operational efficiency and strategic business decisions.

Key Duties

• Create, develop, and sustain enterprise-wide dashboards and reports utilizing tools like Power BI, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, or equivalent BI software.
• Analyze complex multi-source datasets to detect trends, measure performance, and deliver operational insights.
• Develop dashboards for executives, KPIs, portfolio analytics, and scorecards to support business goals.
• Ensure timely and visually clear reporting for diverse stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
• Continuously improve reporting functions to support both day-to-day operations and strategic planning.
• Set enterprise guidelines and best practices to maintain consistency across dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to embed reporting needs into system development and design.
• Design scalable reporting architectures to accommodate multiple functions and future growth.
• Support regulatory, compliance, executive, and operational reporting requirements.
• Engage with business units to collect, document, and prioritize analytics and reporting needs.
• Translate business demands into technical specifications for development teams.
• Lead workshops and requirement gathering sessions involving both business and technical personnel.
• Integrate reporting requirements into Agile workflows, including sprint planning and backlogs.
• Build self-service analytics capabilities allowing users independent access to data exploration.
• Produce documentation and training materials to enhance user adoption of BI tools.
• Educate users on report interpretation and dashboard features while promoting data literacy.
• Maintain data governance by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and standardized metrics definitions.
• Identify and address data quality issues and reporting gaps continuously.
• Collaborate with compliance and engineering teams to uphold data governance standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting roles.
• Proficiency with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Amazon QuickSight.
• Strong analytical skills handling complex and multi-source data integration.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
• Expertise in creating KPIs, operational dashboards, and executive reports.
• Deep understanding of data visualization best practices and user-friendly dashboard design.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid software development environments.

Preferred Skills

• Background in financial services, mortgage servicing, banking, lending, insurance, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of cloud-based platforms and cutting-edge data architectures.
• Skill in SQL querying and data validation.
• Familiarity with APIs, data integration methods, and enterprise data warehouses.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Competence in data preparation tools like Power Query, DAX, or Tableau Prep.
• Involvement in enterprise transformation or digital modernization projects.
