Reliability & Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview

This role entails managing comprehensive facility and administrative duties, emphasizing scheduled technical inspections and maintenance tasks. You will be actively involved in troubleshooting and upkeep of conveyor systems integrating automation technologies such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, sensors, sortation mechanisms, and control panels.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive technical checks as per Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automated conveyor systems including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, VFDs, field sensors, sortation systems, and control cabinets.
• Respond promptly to Trouble Ticket (TT) calls for corrective maintenance, repairs, and servicing.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment under warranty or Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).
• Manage Diesel Generator (DG) maintenance activities.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot power distribution components like branch circuits, lighting, transformers, wiring methods, and materials.
• Handle relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control devices such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tacks, and encoders.
• Support production operations with a strong emphasis on safety and customer-centric service delivery.
• Conduct minor refurbishments and upgrades related to building finishes, fixtures, fittings, fixed furniture, and operational equipment (trolleys, cages, carts).
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers.
• Lubricate and maintain carts, trolleys, pumps, and rolling shutters.
• Attend to routine electrical tasks and oversee height and hot work permits issuance.
• Carry out minor civil and plumbing maintenance tasks as needed.
• Generate daily reports detailing Trouble Ticket statuses including closures, open cases, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Manage soft services such as pest control, housekeeping, scrap and garbage disposal, and supervise agency personnel during shifts.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in maintaining conveyors, automation, or control systems is preferred.
