Role Purpose

As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), you will be responsible for accelerating business growth in Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, focusing on industrial electrical solutions. With a leadership role over a team of five Territory Sales Incharges, you will shape and drive the commercial strategy within the OEM and Panel Builder sectors to position Polycab as a preferred technical solutions provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement regional sales plans to increase market share and consistently achieve revenue goals.
  • Guide and develop a team of 5 sales professionals, establishing clear objectives and enhancing their skills and engagement.
  • Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with key original equipment manufacturers and panel builders, aligning with their technical needs.
  • Champion technical knowledge of Polycab’s products including cables, accessories, and harnesses enabling value-driven solution selling.
  • Explore and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities within existing customers by promoting additional product ranges.
  • Manage distributor and dealer networks, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Represent the company in industry settings to boost brand visibility, generate business leads, and stay informed about market trends.

Required Experience & Skills

  • A decade to fifteen years of experience in electrical sales covering cables, switchgear, or automation sectors, including a minimum of 2–3 years in leadership roles.
  • Background in industries such as automotive, textiles, machine tools, automation, or panel building is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership qualities combined with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts persuasively.
  • Strategic thinker capable of adapting to evolving market conditions and innovating sales strategies.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (70–80%) within designated states.
  • Results-driven leader with proven skills in team management and meeting aggressive targets.
  • Adept at cultivating relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and expertise in solution-oriented selling.
