Overview
The Quality Junior Engineer at Jabil is responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance team to uphold product quality and ensure regulatory as well as company standards are met. This entry-level position involves contributing to quality control operations, analyzing data, and aiding process enhancement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the creation, application, and upkeep of quality control procedures and related documentation.
- Perform inspections and testing on raw materials, products in production, and finished goods to verify that they meet specification requirements.
- Gather, examine, and interpret quality data to detect trends and highlight potential quality issues.
- Assist in conducting root cause analyses and help implement corrective actions for quality deviations.
- Participate actively in both internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and addressing audit findings.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related challenges.
- Help train production team members on quality standards and best practices.
- Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement projects designed to boost product quality and increase manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure all quality records and reports are accurately maintained and well-organized.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering fields such as Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or any related technical discipline.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of quality control tools and techniques like Statistical Process Control (SPC), 8D problem solving, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is advantageous.
- Ability to operate effectively within team settings.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English.
