Role overview
Millennium Hotel and Conference Centre Gloucester London is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support stock control across food, beverage, and other hotel supplies. The role focuses on overseeing ordering, receiving, and distribution of items, while working closely with management teams in both F&B and non-F&B departments across the properties. A key part of the job is making sure company procedures are followed and targets are achieved.
About the hotel
Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington is a 4-star deluxe property located in the centre of Kensington, just a short walk from Gloucester Road Underground station. The hotel offers 610 guest rooms and a wide range of dining options, including Humphrey's Café & Bar, South West 7, and the Bombay Brasserie.
The property also includes the Millennium Conference Centre, which provides flexible spaces for events, including 26 function rooms spread across 1,600m2 and capacity for up to 600 delegates. The conservatory can host up to 300 guests and includes palm trees, a piano, a private bar area, and a dance floor.

Key duties
- Oversee the daily running of the goods receiving area and the team assigned to it.
- Handle the day-to-day work of the cellar and dry stores, including raising orders, issuing stock, and receiving deliveries.
- Update stock transfer records in MPS every day.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding missing deliveries or goods received incorrectly.
- Make sure supplier credit notes are secured and entered without delay.
- Respond to invoice-related questions raised by Head Office.
- Ensure crates, gas cylinders, kegs, bottles, and similar items are stored correctly and collected regularly.
- Keep filing systems neat, organised, and up to date.
- Escalate maintenance needs to the Engineering department and inform the Cost Controller.
- Carry out routine stock checks across all F&B outlets.
