Pump Operator

Role Overview

A prominent company within the construction and manufacturing industry is looking to employ a skilled Pump Operator to support their operations. The successful candidate will be charged with handling, overseeing, and maintaining pumping machinery, ensuring safe, effective operation aligned with company standards.

Main Duties

• Operate and supervise pumps, pipelines, and associated devices safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections and perform basic upkeep of pumping equipment.
• Monitor parameters such as pressure and flow rates, reporting any irregularities promptly.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues, collaborating with maintenance teams as necessary.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, internal procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Keep detailed and accurate logs of operational activities.
• Participate in installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment as needed.
• Work closely with production, maintenance, and site personnel to maintain smooth operation.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or an allied technical discipline.
• Between 2 to 5 years’ experience in roles such as Pump Operator, Plant Operator, or similar capacities within construction, manufacturing, concrete, water treatment, or industrial settings.
• Sound understanding of pumps, motors, valves, piping networks, and related systems.
• Competence in interpreting technical documents, operational manuals, and basic schematics.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and safety compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working under pressure.
• Flexibility to work on shifts if required.

Preferred Background

• Experience in environments such as ready-mix concrete plants, manufacturing units, industrial facilities, water system management, or large-scale construction projects is advantageous.
