About Image Analysis Group (IAG)

Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing imaging projects within global clinical trials. The role involves overseeing project planning, coordinating multiple stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines, and meeting quality and regulatory standards. This is a hybrid position based in Boston, MA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of assigned imaging projects from initiation through closure.
  • Create and update project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional internal teams including project management, clinical operations, imaging science, data management, quality assurance, and technology departments for consistent project execution.
  • Act as the main liaison with sponsors, providing timely updates regarding study progress, risks, and deliverables.
  • Support study initiation activities such as requirement reviews, operational planning, site onboarding, and training coordination.
  • Oversee logistics related to imaging including site support, supply management, image acquisition and transfer, query resolution, and tracking workflows.
  • Monitor image flow and central review processes to assure timely receipt and maintain quality control through DYNAMIKA.
  • Maintain comprehensive and inspection-ready project documentation adhering to internal policies and sponsor standards.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and compliance through documentation review and enforcing processes.
  • Manage budgets, invoices, forecasts, and report any financial or scope-related concerns.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve operational or technical issues effectively.
  • Support process improvements and promote the use of automation and AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, medical imaging, healthcare, project management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management, clinical operations, imaging operations, or related positions within CROs, clinical research, life sciences, or healthcare sectors.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging and its role in clinical trials.
  • Strong abilities in project planning, coordination, execution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience managing operational logistics including site support, supplies, image collection/transfer, and workflow monitoring.
  • Skilled in maintaining precise project documentation and ensuring quality control and compliance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret project data and make decisions.
  • Interest in leveraging AI and digital tools for workflow automation and efficiency improvement.
  • Financial acumen including budget management, forecasting, and proficiency with Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with sponsors, clinical sites, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with standard project management and business software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, project tracking systems).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an imaging CRO or with clinical trials involving radiological or imaging endpoints.
