Role Overview

As a Project Manager at Leapfrog, you will collaborate closely with engineers to formulate and implement project plans. Your role involves translating complex business challenges into manageable tasks to propel product development. You will actively gather and clarify product requirements during execution, emphasizing risk assessment, scheduling, and analysis. Maintaining transparent communication with all stakeholders to ensure satisfaction is critical. Key Responsibilities

• Independently lead medium-complexity projects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Create and review project estimates related to schedule, effort, and cost following best practices.
• Define project processes, staffing needs, team roles, responsibilities, and timelines, customizing approaches as necessary.
• Handle requirement gathering, change control, backlog prioritization, sprint planning, releases, daily standups, reviews, and overall project execution.
• Proactively anticipate business requirements and develop aligned software solutions.
• Contribute to the creation and review of project documentation including technical specs, UX design, architecture, testing, and implementation plans.
• Monitor project health regularly, covering code quality, security, dependencies, and overall progress.
• Ensure quality assurance standards comply with project stipulations.
• Delegate ownership of tasks ensuring team members have necessary support, tools, and timely feedback.
• Set clear expectations, grant autonomy, track progress, and acknowledge team achievements.
• Motivate team members to achieve synergistic outcomes and maintain positive culture.
• Assist in staffing decisions and support talent development initiatives.
• Offer constructive and impartial feedback to team and senior management on performance and achievements.
• Mentor smaller projects lacking dedicated PM or Associate PM roles.
• Focus on developing team soft skills and provide pertinent guidance.
• Report project status and updates to Senior Management.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or an MBA.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with project management tools and methodologies; at least 1 year in project management if previously involved in software development.
• Proven experience managing medium-complexity projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Nepali; adept at client interactions.
• Strong familiarity with Agile development practices.
• Technical background or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies is preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with data-driven decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational abilities including multitasking and attention to detail.
• PMP or Scrum certification is advantageous.
• Well-developed project planning and change management skills, including client and team negotiation abilities.
• People management competencies such as supervising, delegating, motivating, mentoring, and delivering candid feedback.
• Experience in talent acquisition and development.
