About the Role

We are seeking a proficient and personable Payroll Administrator to become an integral part of our innovative and independent firm. Our team prides itself on high standards and a diverse client base that spans from individual traders to large corporations across the region and nationwide. These clients vary significantly in size, with turnovers ranging from a few hundred to several million pounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls, including onboarding new employees, processing departures, calculating holiday pay, statutory payments, and pension submissions.
  • Set up new employers within payroll systems and maintain ongoing RTI and Auto Enrolment compliance.
  • Maintain communication channels with clients regarding personnel and HMRC obligations and assist with any payroll-related queries.
  • Continuously monitor updates to payroll legislation to ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate will independently manage their own client portfolio, fostering strong relationships to tailor and enhance payroll services beyond mere compliance. Using both strategic insight and business acumen, you will empower and support clients, contributing to their success.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • At least two years of payroll experience within a reputable accountancy practice.
