About the Role

Join The AA as a Roadside Rescue Mechanic and experience a career shift that puts you in control. This position offers guaranteed first-year earnings of £40,270 inclusive of allowances, with the potential to earn up to £60,000 based on top performance. Work an average 40-hour week with flexible shift pattern options tailored to your personal and professional life. Shift lengths and rest days vary depending on your chosen schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Begin and end your shifts from your own driveway, with paid time covering your travel to and from assignments.
  • Operate independently across diverse locations and varying weather conditions, while remaining connected to a supportive team.
  • Utilize your technical expertise and effective communication skills to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Quickly diagnose and address roadside issues to get members moving again safely.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications combined with relevant experience.
  • Holding a valid full category B driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
  • Demonstrated adaptability with new technologies and a willingness to learn.
  • Availability to work varying shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays to accommodate unpredictable breakdown situations.
