Online Teacher, AP Pre-Calculus

About the Role

Join an innovative educational team as an online instructor specializing in AP Pre-Calculus, designed to prepare students for calculus through areas such as functions, trigonometry, and mathematical modeling aligned with the College Board AP curriculum. You will engage with motivated learners from across the globe in real-time sessions, utilizing advanced technology and comprehensive curriculum resources.

Class Schedule

Classes are conducted live on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute stimulating, high-quality lessons tailored to an international student body covering AP Pre-Calculus topics.
• Implement diverse instructional methods and digital platforms to foster interactive and supportive classroom experiences online.
• Monitor student progress, deliver precise feedback, and adjust teaching approaches to enhance learning results for each individual.
• Prepare clear course timetables specifying lesson plans and evaluation schedules.
• Host professional live sessions leveraging CGA's educational technology and resources effectively.
• Assign purposeful homework, design assessments, and provide constructive critiques that promote academic growth.
• Develop comprehensive educational tools, including exams and quizzes, enhancing CGA’s resource collection.
• Organize and maintain the online classroom environment on Canvas with accessible assignments and assessments.

Essential Qualifications

• At least five years of teaching experience at the high school level (grades 9–12) within an institutional setting; tutoring experience is not considered in this count.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher earned in Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Strong communication capabilities to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Experience with online education platforms and enthusiasm for integrating technology into teaching.
• Solid understanding of the Advanced Placement curriculum and its examination standards.

Preferred Credentials

• Certification in teaching such as a postgraduate education certificate, teacher's degree, or valid teaching license.
• Prior experience delivering online courses.
• Familiarity with preparations for College Board AP examinations.
