About the role

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR (Service, Maintenance & Repair) division in Windsor. This is a planned mobile repair and servicing role focused on completing booked work for members at locations such as driveways and workplace car parks. It is not a breakdown-response or roadside recovery position.

The role offers a competitive base salary of £45,370, including London Weighting Allowance where applicable, with on-target earnings of up to £57,000. RAC also provides a guaranteed overtime option that can lift the base salary to £44,385, plus further overtime and bonus earning potential.

You will work 40 hours per week, with core working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays. A separate section in the advert also notes Monday to Saturday availability between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, reflecting flexibility around scheduling.

Eligibility and requirements

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work in a mobile, customer-facing environment.
