Role Overview
This position serves as a vital contributor to the operations and training of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Band through proficient management of procurement, partnerships, asset oversight, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement processes for the SAF Band by translating operational needs into strategic agreements with suppliers.
- Manage relationships with major suppliers and administer contract compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive supervision over the lifecycle management of the SAF Band's assets.
- Plan, develop, and manage initiatives to ensure the durability and modernization of the Band’s infrastructure, facilities, and equipment.
- Implement data management systems to analyze logistics data, delivering insights that guide strategic decisions in key logistical areas.
- Lead monthly logistics and financial meetings to coordinate operations.
- Provide operational assistance during local and international deployments and act as Assistant Tour Director for all overseas trips.
- Function as a Staff Officer overseeing logistics and financial capability development.
- Address the challenge of balancing specialized SAF Band logistical and financial requirements with stringent governance and compliance standards.
Candidate Profile
- Academic qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, particularly with procurement, contract and vendor management, lifecycle asset control, and facility maintenance.
- Preferably knowledgeable about musical instruments, equipment, and military band operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational competencies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and systematic work approach.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a dynamic operational setting.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment.
