Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Junior Accountant to join our team at our Ajman headquarters with operations in both Ajman and Dubai. This full-time, on-site position involves comprehensive ownership of our financial portfolio including Odoo accounting system management, UAE tax compliance, and e-commerce financial operations, all compliant with IFRS and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire accounting cycle from inventory management and sales invoicing to month-end closing, ensuring accurate financial statements such as Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Accounts, and Trial Balances.
- Serve as the Odoo accounting expert, leading system design, implementation, process automation, troubleshooting, and ensuring real-time reflection of business performance.
- Produce monthly financial reports including cash flow forecasts, comprehensive bookkeeping, and reconciliations.
- Handle VAT and Corporate Tax computations, validations, and filings with full compliance to UAE regulations.
- Oversee end-to-end e-commerce accounting including payment gateway reconciliations, logistics expense analysis, and weekly inventory audits.
- Develop weekly cash flow and overhead cost forecasts to identify efficiency improvements and protect profitability.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, vendor relations, aging reports, and confidential payroll processing.
- Prepare for annual audits, manage documentation, investigate discrepancies, and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Maintain daily accounts receivable tasks in collaboration with the sales team to ensure timely cash collections and customer credit management.
- Analyze overhead costs and revenues using tools like Odoo and Excel to highlight financial efficiencies and discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and process automation to enhance system operations and internal controls.
- Continuously review and improve internal controls to strengthen processes and accountability.
- Provide financial insights and leadership to guide business decisions and enhance profitability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a General Accountant, preferably within retail or e-commerce sectors.
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with Odoo accounting software including system design and operational management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with skills in VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax framework, and IFRS compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict monthly financial reporting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for clear financial reporting to leadership.

Terms & Benefits
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (half-day on Saturdays).
- Compensation: AED 3,000 monthly plus benefits, dependent on qualifications and experience.
- Benefits include medical insurance, vacation pay, air tickets, and other entitlements as per UAE Labor Law.
