About the Role
Become a vital member of the Glenorchy community by joining the Glenorchy Jobs Hub team, which is focused on connecting local residents with employment opportunities. We seek a motivated Job Coach who will support individuals through their training, enhance their preparation for careers, and assist their path towards lasting employment.
This impactful role involves providing personalized support to job seekers while fostering strong connections with local employers. You will help construct employment pathways, oversee workforce development programs, and contribute to ensuring successful employment outcomes within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with local employers and job seekers.
- Assess and align job seekers to appropriate job vacancies, offering customized employment advice.
- Organize training and workforce development activities tailored to meet the local workforce needs.
- Communicate with employers to grasp their labor requirements and promote the Jobs Hub’s offerings.
- Keep job seeker data accurate and current within the CRM system.
- Deliver ongoing support after placement to both job seekers and employers.
- Partner with the Jobs Hub Coordinator to analyze trends, uncover opportunities, and address community workforce demands.
- Represent the Jobs Hub at various community events, meetings, and networking functions.
- Collaborate closely with local Employment Service Providers to identify and connect suitable candidates with jobs.

You should be a community-oriented professional passionate about facilitating others' success. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicates effectively, manages multiple priorities efficiently, and thrives in a dynamic work setting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated background in recruitment, employment services, or a related sector.
- Strong skills in written and verbal communication, capable of adapting messages for diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a track record of meeting objectives and deadlines.
- Well-informed about unemployment issues and effective methods to support job seekers in gaining sustainable employment.
- Flexible, resilient mindset with a solution-oriented attitude, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Position Specifics
- This is a full-time role, with a 76-hour work fortnight, fixed term until 30 September 2027.
