Overview
We are looking for a proactive and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at the AVP/VP level to join our team in the New York/New Jersey area. This role supports the alignment of human resources strategies with business ambitions within the Information Technology sector, contributing to talent management and organizational development.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leaders to devise and execute HR strategies that propel business growth and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Offer managerial coaching on workforce issues including performance, team dynamics, and leadership growth.
- Champion initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and organizational health.
- Oversee recruitment and retention to attract exemplary talent in technical and leadership domains.
- Ensure seamless onboarding experiences that integrate new employees into company culture and operations.
- Facilitate succession planning, talent evaluations, and career development programs.
- Serve as the main consultant for employee relations, conflict resolution, and promote a positive work environment.
- Maintain compliance with US labor and immigration laws and foster a diverse, inclusive workplace.
- Guide managers in defining performance expectations, managing performance appraisals, and implementing improvement plans.
- Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training programs.
- Promote continuous professional development opportunities for both technical skills and leadership capabilities.
- Lead organizational change initiatives ensuring effective communication and smooth transitions.
- Analyze HR data to inform leadership decisions and refine HR processes and workforce strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar fields; HR certifications like CHRP are advantageous.
- At least 15 years total experience with a minimum of 8 years in HR Business Partner or generalist roles, preferably in IT or technology sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of US employment and immigration laws along with HR best practices and technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills enabling influence across all organizational levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills being a plus.
- Experience managing change and driving organizational transformation is highly valued.
