Heavy-Duty Cleaner

Role overview

Belmont House is hiring a heavy-duty cleaner to carry out intensive cleaning and upkeep duties at the physical worksite in Toronto, Ontario. This position must be performed onsite; remote work is not available.

Experience requirement

The employer is seeking someone with 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Key duties

• Clean hallways, floors, and stairs by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing.
• Use industrial vacuum equipment to clear away dirt, scraps, heavy debris, and other waste.
• Remove refuse from trash bins and other containers.
• Wash interior windows, walls, and ceilings.
• Shift heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Sanitize bathrooms and related fixtures.
• Carry out work with limited supervision.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

Experience and specialization

Experience in cleaning work is expected. Familiarity with industrial vacuum cleaners and power sweepers, carpet cleaning machines, and snowblowers is needed.
