Estimator - Bespoke Joinery

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimator specializing in bespoke joinery to join our office based in Billericay. The role involves managing high-end commercial joinery projects including desks, panelling, furniture, cabinets, and surfaces. Candidates should be prepared for occasional site visits throughout the South East and London.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate tender requests to comprehend project scopes and deadlines.
• Analyze drawings to prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) ensuring timely quotation submissions meeting customer schedules.
• Maintain thorough records of tenders and quotations within the company database.
• Engage with clients to address inquiries and provide supplemental technical details.
• Build and sustain professional relationships with contractors and suppliers.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in estimating within bespoke joinery, cabinet making, bespoke furniture, or related sectors is essential.
• Familiarity with Contract Controller software is highly preferred.
• Strong technical expertise and understanding of industry procedures, materials, and cost structures.
• Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proficient communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Team-oriented while also capable of working independently.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary around £50,000, negotiable depending on experience.
