About the Role
Our partner company seeks a Director of Marketing based in Canada to lead and expand a full-funnel marketing function within a technology platform that operates at the crossroads of finance and innovation. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape brand presence, messaging, and growth strategy by integrating strategic leadership with hands-on marketing execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies spanning demand generation, brand building, product marketing, content creation, events, partnerships, and revenue-driving initiatives.
- Create and refine demand generation campaigns through paid, organic, email, and partner channels, setting clear pipeline objectives and reporting on performance.
- Craft compelling positioning and messaging customized for varied audiences such as technical teams, business executives, financial institutions, and investors.
- Lead product marketing efforts including launching new features, producing sales enablement resources, and measuring post-launch success.
- Gather competitive intelligence and market insights to support decision-making across product development, sales, and leadership.
- Drive thought leadership through articles, whitepapers, webinars, newsletters, and relevant industry content.
- Manage event strategies, including participation in conferences, customer communications, and partner marketing collaboration.
- Oversee marketing technology tools, attribution processes, funnel analytics, and comprehensive reporting linking marketing efforts to revenue impact.
- Foster robust partnerships with internal teams, external collaborators, agencies, and vendors while managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop marketing professionals while implementing scalable operations and industry best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 8 years in B2B marketing, with at least 2-3 years directing full-funnel marketing operations.
- Proven track record in crafting marketing strategies that generate pipeline growth and revenue outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of fintech, embedded finance, banking technologies, payment systems, or related tech sectors.
- Ability to articulate complex, regulated technology products through clear, engaging messaging suitable for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience managing product launches and cross-functional marketing endeavors from conception to execution.
- Exceptional skills in writing, storytelling, communication, and presenting.
- Strong analytical approach with expertise in marketing metrics, attribution, and optimizing performance.
- Thrives in fast-paced, lean startups that demand both strategic foresight and hands-on implementation.
- Experience marketing to banks, credit unions, financial institutions, or within fintech ecosystems is advantageous.
