Job description
Job Overview
Sherwin-Williams is seeking Delivery Drivers to transport products from our stores to customers using company vehicles like vans or pickup trucks. The role involves ensuring orders are accurately loaded, delivered safely and punctually, while maintaining customer satisfaction and compliance with transportation regulations. This position is based at Store #8874, 777 Goldstream Ave, Langford BC V9B 2X4.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare deliveries efficiently to fulfill customer needs.
- Load orders securely onto delivery trucks.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Transport and deliver items safely and on schedule.
- Maintain store vehicles and report maintenance needs.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, respond to inquiries, and resolve complaints.
- Follow assigned routes and adhere to time schedules.
- Comply with all driving and transportation laws, maintaining a safe driving record.
- Prepare delivery reports and related paperwork.
- Operate vehicles and equipment such as trucks and forklifts.
- Assist with store tasks including warehouse duties, tinting and mixing orders, and customer assistance.
Qualifications
Required:
- At least 18 years old.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 70 lbs, with or without accommodation.
Preferred:
- High School diploma or Certificate of Adult Education Completion.
- Minimum one year experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles.
- At least one year experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or similar devices.
- Experience selling paint or related products.
- Proficiency in multiple languages to read, write, comprehend, and communicate.
