Datadog Systems Engineer (SME) - Immediate Joiner Preferred

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Datadog Systems Engineer to join our IT team, focusing on the management and optimization of the Datadog monitoring and analytics platform. The position is based onsite in Sadar, Uttar Pradesh, India, with additional mentions of opportunities in Coimbatore, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Candidates should have 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Datadog across both on-premises and cloud infrastructures to ensure thorough monitoring of applications, services, and infrastructure components.
• Integrate Datadog with additional tools such as SolarWinds for detailed network performance monitoring and ThousandEyes to gain comprehensive insights into internet, cloud, and SaaS application experiences.
• Create and update dashboards, alerts, and monitors that provide actionable real-time data on system availability, security, and performance.
• Partner with development, operations, and security teams to embed monitoring solutions into the CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous feedback on system health and performance.
• Enhance cost efficiencies and maximize platform capabilities by optimizing Datadog configurations and reducing tool overlap.
• Stay updated with latest developments in Datadog, SolarWinds, and ThousandEyes technologies and adopt new features to refine monitoring practices.

Additional Roles

• Work with client stakeholders to gather and analyze business process requirements through workshops and discussions.
• Write and deliver code modules aligned with client needs ensuring integration with system components.
• Perform functional testing, support user acceptance testing sessions, and assist in software application deployment to ensure system stability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and reports detailing project activities, including use of diagrams, flowcharts, and clean code annotations.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure solution alignment with project specifications and compatibility.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience integrating monitoring tools with Datadog.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Enterprise Platform Engineering with frontend skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Datadog features, cloud environments, and network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and ThousandEyes.
• Strong analytical, coding, testing, and documentation capabilities.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment involving cross-functional teams.
