Job description
Overview
Join Singapore's efforts against money laundering and terrorism financing by becoming a Commercial Affairs Officer within the Singapore Police Force's Commercial Affairs Department (CAD). This role offers an opportunity for a fulfilling career focused on financial crime investigation, intelligence analysis, and policy development, helping to protect Singapore's financial system from criminal exploitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial intelligence analysis to detect criminal activities using data analytics, and provide timely intelligence reports to domestic authorities for investigative action.
- Develop partnerships with private sector entities to enhance suspicious transaction reporting.
- Collaborate with international and regional stakeholders to fight money laundering and terrorism financing.
- Support investigations involving commercial fraud and abuses, assisting in criminal legal proceedings.
- Liaise with banks, law firms, audit firms, and government bodies to uphold Singapore’s economic integrity.
Training and Career Development
Officers receive structured training in financial crime investigation, financial intelligence analysis, and relevant key legislation. Opportunities for job rotation and secondment will be offered when appropriate.
Candidate Profile
- Possess educational or professional background relevant to the role.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Highly meticulous with strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Note: Officers may have frontline duties and engage frequently with the public. Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to mitigate health risks; unvaccinated candidates will not be considered.
