Catering Assistant

About the Role

Curam Care Homes is seeking full-time and part-time Catering Assistants to contribute to creating nourishing meals and delivering excellent, resident-focused dining experiences that comply with food safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the kitchen and satellite kitchens in readiness for service.
• Assist with serving meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and teas from the kitchen or satellite kitchens.
• Carry out daily cleaning duties of kitchen and satellite kitchen areas.
• Record meal selections from residents accurately.
• Adhere to all dietary needs and HACCP food safety protocols.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Previous catering assistant experience is advantageous but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
• Possess a friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, coworkers, and visitors.
• Ability to cooperate well within a team environment.
• Food safety training such as HACCP is a plus, though training will be offered if not currently held.
• Must be legally permitted to work in Ireland.
