Business Intelligence Analyst

Overview

Tesla seeks an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join its Customer Support analytics team. This role involves transforming vast and complex data from global support operations into insightful analytics that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with various stakeholders including project managers, engineers, and senior leaders to create scalable dashboards, automate reporting processes, and improve data access across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and continuously manage dashboards and visual reports using Tableau tailored to leadership and cross-team needs.
• Create and optimize advanced queries across multiple database platforms such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and Vertica.
• Leverage Python for sophisticated data processing, automation tasks, and predictive analytics, analyzing key performance indicators like CSAT, average handle time, and recontact rate to generate strategic insights.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to translate complex business questions into implementable, scalable data solutions.
• Lead efforts to automate recurring reporting workflows to boost scalability and operational productivity.
• Develop and implement AI-driven analytics, including designing workflows using large language models (LLMs) focused on prompt engineering and efficient token management.
• Effectively communicate analytical findings to senior and executive leadership through compelling data storytelling, while mentoring junior analysts and proactively identifying improvement opportunities across support functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL across multiple database systems: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and Vertica.
• Experienced in developing AI-powered analytics utilizing large language models, including prompt engineering and optimizing token use cost-effectively at scale.
• Strong Python programming skills for analytics, automation, and building data pipelines, with familiarity in integrating AI/ML tools into production environments.
• Extensive experience with enterprise BI tools such as Tableau and an in-depth understanding of contact center metrics including CSAT, FCR, and AHT.
• Proven capability to manage projects and engage with senior executives, translating intricate data sets into understandable, actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
