Position Overview
Johnson Health Tech Australia's Matrix Fitness brand seeks a Business Development Manager to take charge of the NSW and ACT regions for Onyx, a high-end wellness and fitness product line tailored to luxurious hotels, premium residences, and upscale lifestyle settings.
Role Responsibilities
- Own and execute the sales strategy for the Onyx brand within NSW and ACT territories.
- Drive new business development targeting hotel chains, property developers, procurement departments, architects, and interior design professionals on multi-stakeholder projects.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial outreach to installation completion and client sign-off.
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers including operators, developers, and design teams.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and sales forecasting with disciplined territory management.
- Build a strong pipeline and identify opportunities across the hospitality and premium property sectors.
- Deliver consultations, presentations, bespoke proposals including 2D/3D floor plans and space designs.
- Negotiate and close complex deals involving multiple stakeholders.
- Participate in industry events such as hotel association meetings, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Support clients through the delivery and installation phases ensuring customer satisfaction.
Success Criteria
- Establish a qualified pipeline within the first six months.
- Consistent generation and progression of new business and sales opportunities.
- Build strong senior stakeholder relationships yielding repeat business and referrals.
- Achieve high-quality project wins in hotels and luxury developments.
- Reliable and accurate CRM and sales forecasting practices.
Candidate Requirements
Must-have qualifications and experience:
- At least three years of experience in B2B sales with a proven track record in pipeline generation.
- Ownership of the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing deals.
- Excellent consultative sales skills and ability to manage senior decision-makers and procurement professionals.
- Strong and confident presentation skills.
- Demonstrated discipline in CRM use and territory management.
- Possession of a current, full driver's license.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Sales experience within hotel, hospitality, property development, FF&E, interior design, architecture, luxury lifestyle, or premium commercial fit-out sectors.
- Existing professional network in Sydney’s hotel, property, or luxury markets.
- Familiarity with 2D or 3D floor planning software.
- Exposure to health, fitness, or wellness industries.
Direct experience in the fitness industry is advantageous but not essential; those with background in premium project sales involving multiple stakeholders in related sectors are encouraged to apply.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual remuneration between $120,000 and $180,000+, supplemented by uncapped commission.
