Architect or Civil Engineer for Building Construction (m/f/d)

Overview

The City of Achern, with approximately 27,700 inhabitants, is seeking an Architect or Engineer in Building Construction (m/f/d) for the Department of Building Law. This is a permanent part-time position at 75% employment, initially unfixed term. There is a possibility to increase the workload to full-time (100%) after two years.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing advice to builders, architects, and neighbors regarding building regulations and technical construction issues
• Evaluating building law applications and procedures pursuant to public building law, focusing on technical and regulatory examination
• General building supervision, conducting building inspections and controls
• Performing fire prevention inspections
• Participating in activities of the lower monument protection authority, including consulting owners, builders, and architects on heritage protection matters

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Successful completion of an engineering degree in architecture or civil engineering, or equivalent qualification or professional experience as per Section 46 Paragraph 4 of the Baden-Württemberg State Building Code
• Strong implementation and assertiveness skills, along with initiative, resilience, and adaptability
• Confident demeanor and excellent communication abilities
• Structured, analytical, diligent, and reliable working style
• Proficiency in common office software applications
• Valid driver's license class B
