About the Role
Join the dedicated team at Cats in the City, a premium cat boarding facility located in South Perth, committed to delivering outstanding care for all feline guests. This role involves providing exceptional service to pets and their owners, maintaining high standards of hygiene and animal welfare within the facility.
Key Duties
- Feed, groom, and provide enrichment to the cats boarding at the facility.
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the boarding area to uphold stringent hygiene and safety standards.
- Perform routine health assessments and general care tasks for animals.
- Monitor and manage cat behaviour to promote their wellbeing and safety.
- Assign cats to appropriate areas and create engaging environments for them.
- Offer courteous and professional customer service to pet owners.
- Capture and share media content such as photos with pet owners.
- Maintain accurate records and update booking systems diligently.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve optimal outcomes for guests.
- Assist with clinic operations including holding animals, cleaning cages, restocking supplies, preparing packs, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
Candidate Profile
- Experience working or volunteering with animals is preferred but not mandatory.
- Availability to work weekends and throughout school holiday periods, including Christmas and Easter.
- Physically capable of performing an active role involving standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and handling animals.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional customer service approach.
- Reliable, positive, and proactive team player comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when necessary.
- Committed to adhering to safety protocols, instructions, and company procedures consistently.
Work Hours
Shifts run from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday and 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on weekends, with flexibility to accommodate varied schedules.
