Role overview
An established national construction company is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join its finance team on the northern Gold Coast. This position sits within a busy, high-volume environment and offers the chance to contribute to a stable, business-critical finance function while working alongside a supportive and collaborative team.
What the role involves
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will take ownership of a range of accounts payable and finance administration tasks. The position is varied and hands-on, giving you responsibility across invoice processing, reconciliations, supplier follow-up, and support for month-end and reporting activities.
Key duties
- Review and process contractor invoices, then reconcile timesheets to make sure all records match approved documentation.
- Contact labour hire suppliers to chase missing paperwork or clear up mismatched details.
- Administer company credit cards, including transaction coding, reconciliations, and compliance checks.
- Carry out regular supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any differences promptly.
- Assist with three-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices.
- Provide broader accounts and administrative support, including help with reporting and month-end tasks.
- Work closely with internal teams to keep financial records accurate and processes running efficiently.
